COFFEE HOUSES AND CAFÉS

Great food isn't just limited to our numerous restaurants, but also to our quaint coffeehouses, which are spread throughout Taos. Check out some for that extra jump-start in the morning.

The Bean - With two locations located conveniently on both sides of town, come join the crowd from all walks of life. The bean is known for it's strong cup of coffee and serves up a dish of spicy green chile as well. Artwork is displayed on the walls, and the comfortable atmosphere is inviting. Everyone goes to The Bean!

Caffe Tazza - Located on Kit Carson Road, Caffee Tazza is local institution. Along with good coffee and goodies, this coffee shop offers a cozy spot for artists of all kinds to hang out and discuss their latest works. Some well known authors have been known to give readings here. This place was here before coffee became cool.

Dragonfly - The coffee and fresh baked goods make this place popular with locals. Located just North of the Taos Post Office, this cute little spot is worth a visit. They also offer a nice lunch menu to accompany the café items.

Taos Cow - Another Arroyo Seco gem, this local institution makes the best ice cream in town. They also offer gourmet coffee, breakfast daily, and custom made sandwiches. The streamside outdoor tables are the perfect place to sit with a cup of coffee and chill.

World Cup - Right off the Taos Plaza, you'll find locals seated outside, watching life go by. Enjoy a good cup of coffee while you people watch. They also have a branch in the ski valley.
